What actually happens when you join LMA
LMA is not a magic pill. It is not passive. It is not something you can do halfway and expect results from.
This program requires approximately 90 minutes of active participation per day during the 28-day adventure. You will be speaking, listening, responding, and building a real relationship with your language companion. That relationship is the mechanism. If you show up for it, it works. LMA is not the right fit for casual learners. It is built for people who have a real reason to speak a language — family, travel, work, relocation, or a personal goal they've been putting off for years.

The moment you purchase, your journey begins. This is not a waiting period.
You'll be introduced to your language guide — a trained LMA team member who will stay with you from this moment through the end of your adventure and beyond. In your first session together, your guide assesses your current language level through conversation, not a test. They want to understand where you are, what your goals are, and what kind of companion will be the right match for you.
From there, you begin independent study using best-in-class language software selected by Matej and the guide team — including tools like LingQ and Pimsleur. Your guide meets with you weekly to check your progress, adjust your preparation, and determine when you're ready to begin the intensive. You advance to the 30-day adventure when your guide says you're ready — not on a fixed calendar.
What you're doing in this phase:

• Building the foundation that makes the breakthrough possible
What your guide is doing:
• Conducting your CEFR baseline assessment to document your starting level
• Matching you with the right language companion
• Preparing both of you for the intensive ahead
This is where the breakthrough happens.
You'll work with your language companion every day for 30 days. Your companion is a native speaker of your target language, chosen specifically for you based on your personality, interests, and communication style. You will actually want to talk to them. That is not an accident — it is the mechanism.
The sessions are immersive and conversational. You are not translating. You are not conjugating verbs. You are communicating — imperfectly at first, and then with growing confidence and fluency as the language begins to feel like yours.
Important: the adventure must be completed within 33 calendar days of the day it begins. This window does not pause for any reason — it is specifically calibrated to produce the breakthrough outcome. Your guide will help you stay on track.
What a typical day looks like:

What the breakthrough looks like:
By the end of 40 days, you will be able to speak for 10 consecutive minutes in your target language and hold a 30-minute conversation with your language guide. These are the specific, measurable outcomes LMA's guarantee is built around.
After the breakthrough, most LMA students have discovered something they didn't expect: they genuinely enjoy speaking their new language. Continued services let you keep that going.

Your language guide owns your experience end to end
Your guide is your account manager, your progress tracker, and your advocate inside LMA. They conduct your CEFR baseline assessment before the adventure begins, match you with your companion, check in weekly during the adventure, and offer continued services afterward. They are trained directly by Matej.
Your language companion is not a tutor
A tutor checks curriculum boxes. A language companion builds a genuine relationship with you in your target language. Every LMA companion is a native speaker, trained in the LMA acquisition method, and matched to you specifically. Your guide considers your personality, your communication style, your interests, and your goals. The match matters because the relationship is the mechanism.
